3 out of 5 stars the little good but big bad   July 27, 2010
thomas
this toy is very good at the begining(with its good range well)acerly 3 or 4 weeks then the darts jam nerly all the time, the targeting sight is a load of junk and dont work and the red dot targeter is rubbish and is only good as a tourch.
i dont recamend this if your looking for a none stop use toy this not what you want

5 out of 5 stars The Nerf Recon C-S6 (2nd generation Long Shot)   July 14, 2010
This is a very go nerf gun. It can fire at a range of up to 20m and is collapsable which makes it portable which allows diffarent looks such as hand gun and machine gun (I found out that if you take the barrle of the gun off then it's darts will go further and faster but having poorer accuracy).

I have rated it 5 star for durabilaty because it is very strong and stable for a plastic gun. Although you would probaly still break it if you through on the floor!

However, I only rated it 1 star for education. This is because it is a gun, not a dictionary.

I have rated 5 star for fun because it is very good at shooting long distaces so that I can get my brother when we are playing in the garden. It would make more sence for the clip to take 8 darts instead of 7.

Over all, I rate this 5 star. Perfect for ages 8-25.

4 out of 5 stars A KIDS REVIEW   June 25, 2010

Right first of all this is a pretty good gun with 5 customizable parts here are the pros and cons.
Pros
Cool clip
light has 2 settings red dot and tactical light
nice color scheme
space to store extra clips on each side of the stock
cool barrel exstention
there is a hole at the bottem of the handle to store an extra dart [dont stick it in too far unless its very hard to get out]
cool dot sight
flip up fin on barrel exstention to help with aiming.
Now the cons
The darts suck they barely go far and they break easily.
the barrel exstention creates more friction with the dart so it fires a shorter distance.
the dot sight is hard to look down and even with the help of the barrel extention flip up fin to help aim [if attached] its still not extreamley accurate.
the gun is heavey
the stock is kinda hard to take off
when the gun jams it jams bad the clip has to be removed if the gun is cocked then it takes alot of force to pull back the slider and then reach in and yank the dart out in a nerf war this can cost you severley.

Well thats it the gun has many cons and many pros I would reccomend having the gun in sub-machine gun mode for a nerf war [barrel exstention removed] with either the light or flip up sight on the tactical rail. But other than that it is a decent gun if u have a good backup weapon like a magstrike or maverick with u incase, ur ok. I think thats it, its a good enough gun to reccomend [I suggest you get the double your darts version coz you get more darts]. Ok thx for reading.

Ignore the title, it is just saying that you can change the parts around without having to open it up! The gun is really good and has a decent range, you can even make it small into a pistol! That would be handy if you need to drop a little weight seeming as in an all out Nerf War you will want to travel light. The Maverak is recommended over this for light weaponary but this has a faster and better reload. It is compatible with all Nerf N-Strike weapons and is a very impressive weapon. Newer Nerf guns are out but this one is pretty cheap, I paid 50 quid for it in Toys 'R' Us! Awesome weapon though don't you think? :)

5 out of 5 stars read this before buying!!!!!!!   June 13, 2010
This is a good gun, it has very interesting features like flip up sight, laser light and the interchangeable parts. The cocking mechanism is VERY easy to use, you just pull back and forward. The customizable extensions add an interesting element to the gun and you can do lots of combinations. If you have a raider cs-35 get this gun because you can use the drum barrel and you can exchange parts which would be great for a nerf war. You can also do this with the longshot cs-6.
