 Universal trolley Golf umbrella holder August 25, 2010

It does the job but seems a little flimsy so am unsure how it will stand up to any breeze very easy to fit

I bought this Universal umbrella holder for my new Ram umbrella, however upon attaching it to my golf trolley i have discovered that the universal umbrella holder is not all it is cracked up to be, My "NEW RAM UMBRELLA DOES NOT FIT". The top of the holder tube is far to narrow, they should be done under the trade descriptions act for the advertisement for this holder. As it says in the title "Not that universal".
It also does not come with rubber inserts to stop it slipping around the cart when windy.
Enough of the ranting, it does the job as far as buying a cheap umbrella and slotting it in goes. So enough said check the umbrella handle before buying this item and visit a pound shop to buy non slip matting.

i found it a bit flimsy on my go kart, was no real place for the big clip to go.
i dismantled it and just screwed on the holder on and it's ok. would prob by a better one if i was buying again.

My title for this review is very polite as I found the product totally useless. The holder is far to week to hold an umbrella of any weight. I admit on the face of it, it is cheap, but then again not so cheap when you need a new one every two holes. I used it on day when there was only drizzle and no wind.
Having looked and looked, I can't find a universal brolly holder that is up to the job, so the only way to go appears to be to buy a trolley with one built in.
I give this product one star because it's black colour matched my trolley.
Sorry - No good at all.

This is a low priced functional piece of equipment that is extremly useful for holding the umbrella over your golf trolley and keeps you and the clubs dry. The best type of golf umbrella to use is the vented umbrella which will not blow inside out if it is windy.
