Norton 2010 July 26, 2010 M Nash I already had an older version of Norton installed but it was cheaper buying the 2010 version from Amazon than to renew through Norton. Installation was fairly easy, the old version had to be uninstalled first but I was led through this process as part of the installation of the new version. I have never had any problems with viruses etc while having Norton on the system, so as far as I'm aware it does what it says on the box.
slicker better July 20, 2010 Mr. Anthony Feather This is much the same as Norton Internet security 2009, small changes better family protection and the ability to spy on your kids browsing habits, this and slicker UI which is not too bad a thing, last years product was a huge leap forward from previous versions, with burst updates and scans when it detects the system is idle. I think Norton is realising that you want to actually use your computer but at the same time have it protected, not smothered, and not being able to use it because Norton is doing something!!. My one gripe which I think will be carried over from Norton Internet security 2009 is unlike older versions of Norton when your subscription ended you still had protection but not the latest updates, Norton in my humble opinion (you know the paying customer) has been very naughty, when your subscription ends it turns off Norton and point plank refuses to work until it has another subscription, tut tut my haven't we been naughty can see that little gem losing them loyal customers.
Norton Internet Security 2010 July 20, 2010 Will Jardine On loading the software I got an error message. On contacting Symantic on line they managed to sort it out by remote access. Apart from this I'm happy with the software.
Improvement on an already excellent product July 13, 2010 Fiona Hennah Having used NIS 2009, I have gotten used to my pc security products not interrupting my everyday sourcing and activities, if anything this has improved with NIS 2010. I never purchase it dirctly through symantec as it can always be found cheaper elsewhere.
The toolbar, identity safe, i have found work fully with windows 7 in addition to vista and xp, even with my older computer compared to my new laptop.
It picks up any threat quickly without any hassle and even those pesky cookies will be found.
Excellent product and would recommend it to anyone!!
maturebuyer July 13, 2010 star gazer (UK) Perfect...does what says on the box. Easy to install as long as you don't go through the automatic renewal system that comes upon screen if you've had Norton before....just insert disk and start from scratch....easy! Useful that it covers three computers - makes it economical. We covered my own, my partner's and my daughter's, who is at a different address.
