I purchased this product as a replacement for an 'old style' hair trimmer. Having used it twice to cut my husband hair I found it both extremely easy to use and adjust the cutting width. It cuts hair very well and because of this the time spent is shorter. Overall it is very good product and much better than any previous trimmers I have used.

Had these for a while now - initially I had the same thoughts
as most other reviewers.
Cheap & flimsy looking + no charge indicator.
However after a few months I wouldn't be without it
...it cuts extremely well and is much much easier
to control and use than a traditional trimmer.

I have had several hair trimmers over the years, all corded and all with individual depth gauges. All a nuisance to use.
My son had one of these and immediately I saw it I wanted one, bought it that night and it was delivered in 24 hours.
This machine is a dream to use lighter, more flexible than anything else by a long shot. Highly recommended, wish I'd had it years ago.
good for short cuts and barberless cuts August 31, 2010

its very good. I do a very short hair cut. when I rub the hair the wrong way I like to feel them sharp a bit. and when u set the device to the shortest which is number 1 (the shortest one) its when u get short sharp (not very sharp at this stage I believe for those who make short hair cuts no millimeters can help but the degree of sharpness) haircut. and at number 1 I got this a bit sharp feel when rubbing my hair.
cant understand at all all those few negative comments. IT IS MEANT to make a short hair cut. and the pivoting head is very comfortable when cutting on my own.
and the general look of the cut is smooth.
the only time u have to be careful is when you cut the hair at the back part of the skull between the neck and the head WITHOUT the comb attachment. I went to much up from my neck part into the head when removing the little hair from neck without the comb attachment.
did only one cut to myself and I find it very convenient. actually before buying it I read many amazon comments and the only thing I was worried about was that it might not cut as short as I like it. because some feedbacks stated it doesnt cut short enough. but it does. for me its just fine at the shortest=1.
of course the drawback is the charging which is lacking the indicator when its fully charged and you have to calculate yourself those 8 up to 24 hours. and lack of overcharging prevention function. but apart from that 5 out of 5. if not apart from that then 4.88 out of five.

Been using this for 9 months now. No problem cutting my own hair at all, the rotating head is amazing, You can rotate it even when the cutter is running. Blade still very sharp and the rechargeable battery last for several cuts and hold its charge. I quite enjoy experimenting doing my own hair now.
