5 out of 5 stars good fun   September 9, 2010

Bought this for my thirteen year old daughter for her birthday, she thinks it is good fun, so do her 8 year old brother and 17 & 18 year old sisters. Its great fun and not too complicated.

4 out of 5 stars lots of fun - great songs   September 8, 2010
Mrs. S. R. Wray (Belfast)
My kids tried to talk me out of buying this game because they'd read bad reviews on gaming websites. I really wanted it thought because it looked like a lot of fun on the TV advert, and it has the kind of music I love to sing and prance about the house to. Well, we were both right (although I was more right!) because I've had a blast playing this game. The songs are brill! It has some of my favourite songs from Cabaret and Chicago and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as other songs that I didn't know so well, but have now become favourites. The dance moves vary from pretty gentle and easy to quite tricky and strenuous (although some of the same moves appear in different songs, so you get the hang of them) and I find I play for about an hour at a time and work up quite a sweat (lovely) which means it's exercising me too.

From a gaming point of view, I can see why the kids dissed it - the graphics are pretty blocky, and there doesn't seem to be any way of saving high scores, so there's no sense of competing with yourself or progressing. But I don't care about that. All I wanted was to dance to my favourite songs, and I can do that so I'm happy.

I bought this game after the success of Just Dance, which the whole family loved. I think that I prefer this new game of Dance Broadway, as up to four of you can dance at the same time, a great game if you have friends round.

1 out of 5 stars disappointing and i didnt even think t was worth rating but had to   September 3, 2010

i have this game and i think its bad, i have the first dance one which is 10 times better. i am a dancer by profession and i really do n0t get who put this game together, the timings images and moves are a shambles, it is way to computer genarated unlike the first. at least the just dance dancers looked like people, the dancers on broadway look like sims characters. its not only the characters that are an off put but the timings for the moves seem all out, moves which should be danced with a certain amount of speed have seemed to be slowed down making it hard to actualy do the move and then moves that need 4 beats are done in three making it very hard to fit all the move in- this is because a computer program has clearly put it together and therefore its not been fitted to real time. unlike the first game, you cant review how long you have been dancing for or chose to have an account.the instructions for the moves that run along the bottom dont really corasponde with the moves the characters do, so it is a case of having to learn the moves urself, the instructions at the bottom are not always clear who is suposed to be moving as on the stage there are 4 dancers and this at times with bad instruction can be confusing. on a positive the fact you can chose which dancer you are and the fact its on stage is fun, but i feel the bad points far out weight the good, my advice is to wait for the just dance game to get a second one out it is far better and definatly worth the money, wait for broad way to become dirt cheap and then buy it, its a waste of money .
