Product Description Bond is Back! Based on the "Quantum of Solace" and "Casino Royale" films, Quantum Solace places you in the ruthless world of international espionage and intrigue.
Amazon.co.uk Review There never was a video game of Casino Royale, but now Activision is making up for lost time with a title that incorporates both Casino Royale and its immediate sequel, Quantum of Solace. It’s primarily a first-person shooter, but it does switch to an over-the-shoulder view when hiding under cover or taking part in interactive cut scenes. Daniel Craig is a big games fan and has taken a personal interest in the game | Almost everything in the game can be destroyed or damaged | Stealth is just as important as gunplay when you’re James Bond | Close combat switches out of first person view for a more cinematic effect | Just like the Bond movies, the game offers a mixture of action and stealth, with the chance to take down enemies instantly if they don’t see you. You’ll almost always be outgunned, but you’re given clues as to which strategy to take by the changing music. Bond's aresenal has been slimmed down in the new films, so it makes sense that there aren’t many gadgets in the game. There is an online multiplayer mode that pays homage to past classic Bond games such as GoldenEye 007. Which should hopefully make Bond’s video game comeback as successful as his cinematic return. Key Features - You only live twice: Recreate the stories of both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace in one game, including deleted scenes and new side missions.
- Duty calls: The game uses the same graphics technology as Call of Duty 4, including bullets that realistically pass through wood and other materials.
- You know his name: The game features not only the voice and likeness of Daniel Craig, but also Judi Dench as M, Mathieu Amalric as villain Dominic Greene, and Olga Kruylenko as Camille.
- Shaken not stirred: A mix of first- and third-person viewpoints allows for both shooter action and tense stealth-based exploration.
- Licence to kill: Battle friends in the online mode in a wide range of game types.
About the Developer: Treyarch One of publisher Activision’s biggest internal studios, Treyarch have worked on many of the company’s best known titles, from the Spider-Man movie tie-ins and spin-offs to several of the Call of Duty sequels and, of course, the new James Bond game, Quantum of Solace.

Good for a while January 5, 2009 Darkmaster (Birmingham, UK) This is a very good game and is fairly easy to master the controls as well. The controls are actually the same as Halo 3. I got this for Christmas and finished it in 3 days. It is quite easy and quite short as well. Also, there is no multi-player except for on xbox live so I can't play any other game types. But it is good overall and worth the money when the price goes down.
An absolute disgrace!! January 2, 2009 Scotty Apps (UK) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is utter rubbish, it is quite simply a disgrace! I can't believe how other people have given this 4 or 5 stars!!? It is simply second rate with no original features what so ever!! It looks like a ps2 game at best. That alone is a reason no one should buy this game. Game publishers should put a discount on games that aren't visually as good as they can be. It really is a case of "well its a James Bond game, it will sell even if it looks like a ps1 game, we don't even have to try".... its insulting. I cant believe how unoriginal it is. Its a direct rip off of the Bourne Conspiracy, especially features like the "takedown" whereby Bond rushes to his opponent and enters hand to hand combat, pressing x or y as they appear on the screen, only difference is the Bourne Conspiracy actually looks good, with beautifl graphics and believable fighting moves. Bond on the other hand looks like something a 10 yr old would come up with, terrible graphics, Bond is completely out of proportion to himself, his legs look like a stick man, his arms look like two straws with sleeves and his head which apparently took months to create looks like a squashed turnip...... I hate this game if you haven't already noticed. Also what is it with Bond and his apparent massive inferiority complex to Bourne? I mean they have changed the whole style not only of the movies but now the games too. What happened to being original? I mean Bond was here long before Bourne. Personally I liked the suave, romantic, cheesy English gent Bond used to be as played brilliantly by Moore and Brosnan. Why change the character to be someone else? Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Bourne, but Bond and Bourne should be just that....seperate. So I ask again why make Bond to be like Bourne? Anyay back to te game. Its mainly a first person shooter which then switches to a third person as soon as you take cover, or enter a takedown, a little confusing at first and again would have worked if the graphics were better. And talking about the graphics again, they really are poor. At one stage at the beginning of the game when you are chasing Mr White I stopped to look at the mountain range in the background hoping it would be nice, however I was greeted only by what looked like Telletubbie land, green and no detail at all. How can the game developers show their face in public knowing they just couldn't be bothered to make it look good? Are they professional? Do they care? No they don't! And why does the game not follow the story line of the film? The beginning shows Mr White receiving a call from Bond and then being shot in the leg, Bond then appears looking cool, suave and holding a pretty big machine gun. So why does the game then show Bond driving down a road after shooting White and hundreds of henchmen appearing out of nowhere? Bond then tries without success to drag White to his car before having to take cover, shoot his way through a garden, a mansion and a greenhouse!? It doesn't happen in the film!!! So why here? The game feels very much like 007 Everything or Nothing featuring Pierce Brosnan, only that was on the ps2 and was a hundred times better than this pile of ****!!!! Don't buy it! Buy The Bourne Conspiracy instead, it really is like chalk and cheese.....

One of the Best Games I Have Ever Played December 27, 2008 P. Knott I recieved Quantum of Solace, along with my Xbox 360, for Christmas 2008. I set it all up and began to play. From Level One, the enimies were challenging (though not so hard as could not be killed and were frustrating) the graphics were top notch and I really had a blast. The feature I personally enjoyed most was the Achievements. These could be called mini-games. During the main levels there are all kinds of things to do that give you better weapons, and more credit on multiplayer. Each of these has a Bond style name. For exaple: "Time to Face Gravity": Shoot down a henchman from a balcony with one shot. All these just add to the fun. When I found out that this game uses the Call of Duty 4 engine, I was delighted at the prospect of playing another game similair to this. I did have two problems, however. First, the game is short. I finished it on Boxing Day. Secondly, the action and take-cover style shootouts are definatly more suited to a war game. For this reason I will be purchasing Call of Duty 4. It's a great game. I would recommend it.
Nintendo 64 December 27, 2008 J. C. Walters (UK) ok as we all know the N64 goldeneye bond game was a benchmark in fps (first person shooter) this I can say is the best bond game since then, it runs on the coD:4 engine but it still is a totally different game. i loved it so much that i completed it in 2 days (it was a little short) but other than that i have nothing to say that is bad about this game. if you love call of duty or anything good in life i recommend this game
